摘要：The Scalar curvature can be regarded as the trace of Schouten tensor, and is related to Yamabe equation. As a generalization, we consider the fully nonlinear equation of prescribed sigma_k function of Schouten tensor, with Dirichlet boundary condition.  I will talk about the history of this problem, the basic approach to proving the existence of the solutions and the recent progress we are making.
